Agreement to Terms
By accessing igniteknot.com and using our financial reporting services, you're entering into a binding agreement with us. We know legal documents can be dense, but this one matters. Take a few minutes to read through what you're agreeing to.
These terms apply to all users, visitors, and anyone who interacts with our platform. If something here doesn't work for you, we'd rather you didn't use the service. That sounds harsh, but it keeps things clear for everyone.
We update these terms occasionally. Not constantly, but when regulations change or we add new features. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email or through a notification on the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Service Description and Limitations
igniteknot provides financial reporting tools designed for investors who need clear, organized data. We aggregate information, generate reports, and help you understand your portfolio performance. But here's what we don't do: we don't provide investment advice, tax guidance, or legal counsel.
Our platform processes data you provide or authorize us to access. We're not responsible for the accuracy of source data from third parties. If a bank or brokerage sends us incorrect information, we'll display what they sent. We make reasonable efforts to identify discrepancies, but we can't audit every data point.
Important: Financial reporting involves complex calculations. While we use industry-standard methodologies, different platforms may calculate metrics differently. Always verify critical information with your primary financial institutions.
The service may experience occasional downtime for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control. We aim for 99.5% uptime, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. During scheduled maintenance, we'll try to give advance notice.
User Responsibilities and Account Security
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. That means strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication if available, and not sharing login information with others.
Your Obligations Include:
- Providing accurate information during registration and keeping your profile updated
- Using the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms
- Not attempting to access areas of the platform you're not authorized to use
- Reporting any security breaches or unauthorized access immediately
- Not using automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
- Respecting intellectual property rights of igniteknot and other users
If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account. We don't take that lightly, but we also can't let misuse continue. In cases of serious violations, we may report activities to appropriate authorities.
Payment Terms and Subscription Management
Subscription fees are billed according to the plan you select. We offer monthly and annual options, with pricing clearly displayed during signup. All fees are in Thai Baht unless otherwise specified.
Payments process automatically on your renewal date. We'll send a reminder a few days before, but it's your responsibility to maintain valid payment information. If payment fails, we'll try again once or twice before suspending access.
Cancellation and Refunds:
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial months or unused time, except in specific circumstances at our discretion.
If we make major changes to the service that significantly reduce functionality, you may request a prorated refund within 14 days of the change. Contact us with specific details about how the change affects your use.
Data Privacy and Information Handling
We take data privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy provides detailed information about what data we collect and how we use it. This section covers the basics, but read the full policy for complete understanding.
Financial data is particularly sensitive. We encrypt data in transit and at rest, use secure servers, and limit employee access to only what's necessary for providing service. We don't sell your data to third parties. Ever.
Data You Provide:
- Account information and credentials you enter when signing up
- Financial data you upload or authorize us to access from connected institutions
- Communications with our support team
- Usage data showing how you interact with the platform
We retain your data as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and operational reasons. You can request data deletion, subject to legal requirements that may mandate retention for specific periods.
Intellectual Property Rights
The igniteknot platform, including its design, code, reports, and methodologies, is our intellectual property. Using the service doesn't transfer any ownership rights to you. You get a limited license to use the platform for its intended purpose.
Your data remains yours. We don't claim ownership of financial information you upload or reports you generate. You grant us permission to process this data to provide the service, but that's different from ownership.
Don't copy our reports and pass them off as your own work. If you want to share reports with advisors or partners, that's fine. But reproducing our methodology or interface for commercial purposes isn't permitted without written agreement.
Limitation of Liability
We provide a reporting tool, not financial guarantees. Our service helps organize and analyze information, but investment decisions are your responsibility. We're not liable for financial losses resulting from decisions made based on reports generated through our platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, igniteknot and its team members are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes data loss, missed opportunities, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation applies even if we've been advised of potential damages.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations. If that applies to you, these limitations may not fully apply, but they remain in effect to the maximum extent legally permissible.
Termination and Account Closure
Either party can terminate this agreement. You can close your account anytime. We can terminate or suspend accounts for terms violations, non-payment, or if required by law.
Upon termination, your access ends immediately. We may retain certain data for legal compliance, but we'll stop processing your information for service provision. You can request a data export before closing your account.
Provisions that logically should survive termination will continue. This includes intellectual property rights, liability limitations, and dispute resolution terms. Just because the service relationship ends doesn't mean all obligations disappear.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These terms are governed by Thai law. Any disputes will be handled in courts located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We prefer resolving issues through discussion, but this establishes jurisdiction if formal proceedings become necessary.
Before initiating legal action, contact us to resolve the matter. Many disputes can be settled through conversation. We commit to responding to concerns within 5 business days and working toward resolution in good faith.
If legal proceedings occur, the prevailing party may recover reasonable attorney fees. This encourages both sides to pursue legitimate claims while discouraging frivolous litigation.
Changes to Service and Terms
We continuously improve the platform. Features may be added, modified, or occasionally removed. We try to enhance rather than reduce functionality, but sometimes changes are necessary for security, compliance, or operational reasons.
Significant terms changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. For minor clarifications or updates that don't materially affect your rights, we may update immediately and notify you afterward.
